I know you are all anxious to find out where I ended up buying my pillows... just kidding. I need a few more to finish the job, but I thought I'd show you these beauties first.
You need to check out these three awesome stores on Etsy. I'm so pleased with all three kinds that I purchased. They're great quality, handmade in America. Makes me proud. Drum roll...

I know there's a little too much pattern going on, so I'm still playing around with it. It's fun though!! Purchasing these pillow covers via Etsy.com has led me to discover so many more cool decorating ideas.

In the past two weeks, things have been crazy around our
home. Our DOG has sprained her ankle;
the dog got an earache; our irrigation system stopped working, our refrigerator
has leaked, our washing machine has leaked, the weeds kept growing out of control
in our backyard, we have a wild turkey living in our backyard, the deer won’t
ever stop eating the akuba, we’re potty-training the youngest, the toilet won’t
stop running, a light fixture needed rewiring, the dog tore up two more blinds,
and on and on and on.
What have I learned from all of these things? Life never works out as planned. Dogs need pet insurance, especially
ours. Thank goodness we invested in that
home warranty. Kids will learn to go to
the bathroom on their own eventually.
Why am I telling you all of this? I’m just like you. I work and don’t have time for all of these
things, but I’m going to tackle them. I
will gain control. I do highly recommend
all of you buy that home warranty if it’s not offered to you. You learn so much about your house in that
first year. In my experience you're going to need a repairman to come fix that broken appliance unless you live in a perfect home.
Your kids are going to be ok. Trust your gut and stick to it. Don’t give
up. Your children will learn how to go potty. It's frustrating, but it will work out.
Don’t neglect your pets. They need attention too. Our dog is our baby and she's getting old. It breaks my heart to see her limping... of course she should have known better than to chase a wild turkey into the woods. She is just a dog though and she has animal instincts! I should have asked the dog sitter to put her invisible fence collar on though.
Lesson learned.

For a long time, I didn’t understand why Butterfly bushes were so popular. I thought some of them looked like sticks and weeds.
Turns out most butterfly bushes look majestic and attract numerous, well, butterflies.
Remember when we were having a major infestation of caterpillars and cankerworms this early spring?
The butterflies finally emerged and they are beautiful. The plants that they love to feast on are quite beautiful too.
Our backyard is turning into a jungle. It’s overwhelming. Before I completely gut the area, I want to make sure I know what to replace certain plants with. The Butterfly Bush has been a popular recommendation. We already have a couple and they produce purple blooms around this time of year.
We can plant them in the fall after we decide which plants we will remove. As long as we prune the existing ones in the spring, all of them will look similar in size come next Summer. It would be pretty cool to see a bunch of these all over the back yard.

Is your irrigation on the fritz?
Don't rush to the phone to call an irrigation specialist just yet. Chances are it's something simple. If your system won't start a new cycle, it might not ever have finished the last one. You should manually start your system to make sure the last plants got their fair share of water. Make sure all of your sprinkler heads are on correctly. Did you mow your lawn and accidentally knock off one of the heads and forget to come back to fix it? These simple steps could save you a lot of money.
