Identify the Plants1:23 PM
Normally I would be the one providing you with the information, but I wanted to do things differently today. I have a favor to ask...
Will you please tell me what these plants are?
(Note: since posting these questions, I have discovered that this is not Poison Ivy. It is in fact a ground cover plant that is excellent for erosion control.)
1) I'm begging you to tell me this is not poison ivy. If it is, I'm in deep trouble. I've been pulling this plant out of my back yard all morning. (see note above... oops) It's taking over my flower beds and I couldn't stand it anymore.
I've tried finding a similar photograph on-line and I haven't found anything yet.
(Note: Since my original post, I found out that this is another gorgeous ground cover that I should leave alone.)2) This looks beautiful in another flower bed under a large crepe myrtle, but something tells me it's a weed. I found a picture of wild geranium and it looks strikingly similar. I'm no expert though.
(Note: This is in fact a butterfly bush. I can trim it after it blooms all the way down to the ground.)3) Is this a butterfly bush? What in the world is it? Can I trim it?
I guess I should call NBC12 during the "Ask the Expert" series, but who I thought I'd run it by you first.
Don't hold back. If you want to recommend a great resource for me to locate photographs of these, I would love you forever!
