Grilled Chicken and Apple Sliders
7:35 AMI’ve been making more sliders than burgers these days because half of us can’t eat a regular sized sandwich. I hate to waste food too and the sliders are fun! How can you resist the cute miniature sandwich? Adorable.
What’s even better about these is that they are very refreshing on a hot summer day. The combination of the sweet honey mustard with the spicy chicken and the sour apple is excellent. I could eat this sandwich every day. You’ll thank me when you introduce this sandwich to your family because they’re super-easy to fix; they’re inexpensive to make; and your whole family will enjoy them. Make them gluten-free by taking away the bun! Two thumbs up all around!
What You Will Need:
Potato Rolls, halved
¾ lb thinly sliced, boneless skinless chicken breast
1 granny smith apple
½ Vidalia onion, thinly sliced
Colby Jack Cheese sliced
1 T Spicy Seasoning (recipe below)

4) Mix honey and mustard in small bowl and set aside.
5) Slice chicken to fit on roll.
6) Thinly slice apple to same shape as chicken.
7) Compile sandwich with layer of chicken, onion, apple, cheese and top with dollop of honey mustard.

ReplyDeleteUmmm, totally delicious! I bought some itty-bitty "slider style" buns today and plan on doing burger sliders with sauteed onions and pickles. The special part - ketchup mixed with truffle oil. I've never done it, we'll see how it turns out!
