"Better Than The Ultimate" Bar
6:31 AMRemember this Ultimate Treat? Well, this really is better. I know, I know, you don’t believe me. Ladies and gentlemen, I swear to you this is incredibly rich. It’s a cross between a brownie and toffee. The raisins add an extra sweetness that completes the deal.
How did I come up with this perfection? Well, I was craving a new dessert and reward for the kids. They’ve been awesome these past few days. It makes life so much easier when there’s less whining and more smiles, don’t you think?
I had some sweetened condensed milk in the pantry and Raisinets® in the freezer. We were near the end of the box of saltines as well as the graham crackers. I thought I should combine all of these instead of wasting them. So, here goes…
What You Will Need:
½ C saltines
½ C Low-Fat Graham Crackers
4 T unsalted butter
1 C semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (3.5 oz) Raisinets®
¼ C raisins
1 (14 oz) can of Fat-Free sweetened condensed milk
What You Already Have:
Very sharp knife
Large casserole
Medium bowl
1) Preheat oven to 350˚.
2) Crush saltines and graham crackers in bowl.
3) Melt butter and coat bottom of casserole with butter.
4) Spread cracker mixture evenly over butter.
5) Layer chocolate chips, raisins and Raisinets® over cracker mixture.
6) Drizzle milk over layers.
7) Bake for 25 minutes.
8) Cool. Cut into squares.
9) Freeze for about an hour then serve.

OK, we made a couple of your other recipes and they were great! This looks absolutely fantastic! I'm not sure my kids can STAND it! We made those lemon bar thingys and I barely had enough left to put them in the oven b/c my kids had eaten them raw! LOL!

This sounds really good except for the saltines. Sounds a little weird.
