Ooey Gooey Cheesy Chicken (for kid's sake)

8:52 PM

I haven’t slow-cooked a meal in a while.  I found this one to make this week because we are busy with 2 more birthdays to celebrate!  I figured I’d make this tonight and that way we could eat leftovers from last night and tonight tomorrow night (got it J).
I take back what I said about last night’s dish on Facebook.  This is the “easiest dish in the world.”  You only need 5 ingredients, people!  It can’t get any simpler and rich at the same time.  Buon appetito!
Oh… The original recipe describes this as a “stroganoff.” I’m not sure I agree.  Typically stroganoff involves beef, onions and mushrooms.  This recipe… Not so much. I did serve this with extra wide noodles (egg noodles) though.
What You Will Need:

4 large chicken breasts, cubed
1 packet dry Italian Dressing Mix
1 package cream cheese
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
2 T butter
Slow-cooker
1)      Cook chicken, butter and dry Italian dressing mix in slow cooker for 5 hours. (Medium)

2)      Stir in cheese and soup and cook an additional 30 minutes.
3)      Serve with egg noodles or rice.
