Unbelievable White Chili

For Halloween every year, my mom would fix us Mrs. Fearnow’s Brunswick stew with English muffin cheddar toasts and apple slices.  We couldn’t start trick-or-treating without finishing our dinner.  This Brunswick Stew should be a staple in everyone’s home, so finishing was no big deal.
Last night for Halloween, we went to our friends' house and they have the same age children as us.  Our kids trick or treated with their kids while we were able to hang out with our buds!  We also were fortunate to eat some amazing White Bean/Turkey/Chicken Chili.  I might trade out the Brunswick stew tradition for this delicious stew! 
What You Will Need:
3 lbs uncooked chicken breast, cut into cubes
1 ½ lbs ground turkey
2 ¼ quart chicken broth
45-50 oz cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
45-50 oz garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
1 T dried summer savory
1 T dried marjoram
¾ C pearl barley
What You Might Have at Home:
1/3 C olive oil
¼ C garlic, minced
¼ C ground cumin
3 scallions, chopped
2 cups grated Cheddar Cheese
Sour Cream
Large saucepan
1)      Heat oil over medium heat.  Add garlic and cumin and stir.
2)      Add turkey and chicken and sauté until no longer pink.
3)      Add stock, barley, marjoram and summer savor to poultry.  Cover and simmer for 40 minutes.
4)      Add beans to chili.  Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes until thick.
5)      Season with Srichacha and s&p.
6)      Serve with scallions, cheese and sour cream.
