I might be the only one who notices this, but my grandmother always has these on her cookie tray around the holidays.  They’ve been a favorite of mine since I can remember, maybe because of the burst of powdered sugar or the richness of the dough.  Either one, these babies are fantastic!  (These are also very appropriate for my husband and me!)
What You Will Need:
2 c flour
1 c unsalted butter, softened
½ c powdered sugar, plus more for dipping
2 tsp vanilla
1 c finely chopped pecans
¼ tsp salt
Medium bowl
Hand mixer
1)      Preheat oven to 325˚.
2)      Mix butter, ½ cup sugar and vanilla in medium bowl.  Blend well.
3)      Stir in flour, nuts and salt.
4)      Make 1 inch balls and place on cookie sheet.  Bake for 15-20 mins.  Cool but not completely.  Roll in extra sugar.  Cool.  Roll again.
