Gluten-Free Sweet and Sour Pork
1:59 PMI try to help myself out every week or so by slipping in a slow-cooker meal. It allows for dinner-time to be much less hectic. I can spend time with the entire family instead of worry about stepping on little fingers or toes while I’m cooking.
I also wanted to help out a couple of family members. They have gluten allergies, so this is devoted to them.
I replaced a seasonal dish using cranberries with these sweet and sour flavors.
This recipe is another incredibly easy one and tastes good too.
What You Will Need:
2 ½ lbs pork tenderloin
1 can crushed pineapple
1 T quick tapioca (see Note)
1 green pepper, chopped
What You Might Have at Home:
1 T ketchup
1 tsp dry mustard
1/3 cup brown sugar
1) Brown pork in skillet. Place in slow cooker.
2) Mix remaining ingredients in bowl. Pour over pork.
3) Cook on low for 5 hours.
4) Serve with rice.
Note: Tapioca can replace Wheat flour. I was curious, so I used it.
